ACEA Engine Oil Registration
Oil Companies may use claims against the ACEA Oil Sequences on a self-certification basis.
Engine Oils claiming any of the ACEA oil sequences should be registered as soon as possible after their launch into the market.
ACEA encourages oil marketers wishing to use the ACEA claims to register new products on this website. Only publicly domain information will be asked for during registration. Some information is mandatory and some are optional. ACEA strongly encourages the author to complete them as well. Once registered, no further changes are possible. Registrations can be declared obsolete by the author. If claims are no longer needed, oil companies are asked to declare them obsolete. If claims are continued to be used after three years, re-registration is needed. After registration, the author has access to all of the registrations they completed at any time.
To be able to register, a login to this site can be requested by clicking Register at the top right level of the page and follow the instructions. You will be asked to enter your Full Name, username and email. After submission, you will get an email with your login. Please go to the website and login for the first time to trigger the approval process for registration. Once your approval is ok, you will be able to register.
The registration data ACEA receives may only be used for ACEA internal purposes, or internal purposes of individual ACEA members. It is not intended to be forwarded to non-members or other organisations. Nor will it be published or otherwise commercialized. The system will offer oil companies to view all of their own entries, but not entries of other oil marketers.
All data was registered by the oil marketer. ACEA is not responsible for the quality of registered engine oils nor for the truth of any claims being made by any (oil) marketer. Therefor ACEA is not responsible for any complaints resulting from registered or unregistered products. The registration is volontary and serves only as an information for ACEA. ACEA does not approve engine oils as this is not an approval system. It is not the task of ACEA to verify the truth or the correctness of any entries or the compatibility of legal requirements of any data entered. However if ACEA notices that legal requirements are hurt ACEA reserves the right to make changes or to delete data. Otherwise ACEA will not change or delete data in part or as a whole. In case the owner of the claims listed in this view decides to publish this view he is the publisher and fully responsible of all contents, not ACEA.
